Guidelines for solar water heating systems for high risers

In order to heat water, there is a requirement of loads of energy. A solar water heating system utilizes solar energy to heat the water, and hence, is economical than another source of energy. Many plans and guidelines are made by India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE to install solar water heating systems in houses as well as at buildings. There are certain calculations included in the guidelines like for bathing purpose a person will require 20 liters of hot water and for other common usage water will require around 30 liters per person. These stats can increase up to 25% if they are done for a community where there are a number of houses and flats.

Ministry of new and renewable energy (MNRE) also suggests a shade free installation area after every three or four meters. Anyway, there are many more factors which may affect this like usages of long piping for the transfer of hot water and consumption of more amount of hot water.
