Solar water heaters have been used since 1800. Before the solar water heaters were very basic and used to take more time to heat up water but with time, the models of solar water systems modified, and now in the present scenario there are many tools and technologies available that facilitate in heating up water more quickly. The modern solar water is now user friendly, environment friendly and is very easy to operate. It is very cost effective, as well. We just have to make one time investment, and, after that except regular maintenance there is no worry for the rest of life. There is negligible maintenance charge as well so; it is very economical and affordable to every person. Which is the best: solar energy or fossil fuel? If we compare between solar energy and fossil fuels, there are many advantages of the former and that is why it is more preferred by everyone. Fossil fuels are not environment friendly. They produce harmful gases, and they are very costly as well because they are non renewable sources of energy, but solar energy is just opposite of these features. It is environmentally friendly, cost effective and renewable, as well. Steps to choose right solar water heater: A user should choose a credible solar water supplier which helps to purchase good quality solar energy equipments, for example, water heater. It even assists by giving time to time guidance when it is needed. A person should choose the proper type of solar water heating system and there are mainly two types of it. • Direct systems-these systems heat water directly. These systems are used where there is no frost and chemical content present in water is low. • Indirect systems-these systems heat water with the help of heat exchange system. These systems are used where there is frost and chemical content present in water is high. Water storage There are mainly two types of water storage tanks present in the market. • Pumped storage- This type of tank is situated away from the solar panel and the tank is not visible. • Thermo siphon storage- This type of tank is located above the solar panel and water is mobilized by natural process. It is used in the places where the roof of the house can bear the weight of the...

One of the innovative methods which are uprising in the household appliances is solar hot water heaters. Solar energy heats up the water, which is required for the household purposes. Since solar energy is natural and is available for free, power consumption becomes minimal for making the water hot. It does not emit any sort of harmful gases so; the environment remains pollution free. With the use of a solar water heating system, you can transform your house into a green house. In the present scenario, people are concentrating on conserving energy in every possible way. They are trying to use solar units in the replacement for bulbs. The main motive of solar units is to convert the solar heat to different other applications. It can be used to provide hot water in almost all seasons. In case of winter seasons, the hotness of the water is not so much as the intensity of solar heat decreases. In such a case, a person can utilize electric or gas boosters to heat the water. Solar heaters are reasonably priced and therefore, are affordable by almost every person. We can avail solar models at very economical price. It is also possible to make a solar heater even at home. It helps in saving the money which was going to be invested on solar heaters. Some companies are also providing guidance with the plans and materials which will be required to install solar water heaters manually. The best advantage is if there is any fault; the user can repair it by their own selves which saves money of hiring professionals. Solar heaters use solar energy to heat the water. Solar energy helps in cutting down energy saving up to 50% as some sort of electric force is also required in order to mobilize water from source to destination. Solar water heaters work at their best at a very reasonable price and are recommended to everyone for use. It can be used commercially as well as for residential...

The usage of solar energy heaters has garnered huge popularity recently. These solar energy water heaters that use the sun’s energy to warm up water initiate a process in conserving energy. It is quite efficient and warms up the water at a great pace. Many homes nowadays, instead of electric water heaters prefer to use it. Reasons for preferring a solar water heater: Solar water heater is preferred by a large number of people because it reduces costs and helps in saving energy. It employs solar energy to get hot water quite instantly. The energy derived through the sun, is then caught by the panels embedded in the heaters, which is further shifted to the batteries that help to warm up the water. Thus, by this process, energy is renewed to be used again and again in an effective manner. There are a lot of benefits of bringing it in use as one can install them in their homes very easily. It is not really difficult to build the water heaters too. Rather, installing the heaters is quite economical when contrasted against other water heaters. These solar heaters work by changing the solar energy for heating water; it is also eco-friendly. These heaters are really faster, which is an advantage and is also completely free of the cost compared to the water heaters, which run electrically. Electric water heater consumes too much of power and thus, increase in its usage adds up to the electricity bills. Also, it is not possible to heat the water during power failures. But with the help of solar water heaters, there is no wastage of electricity for heating water. As they are eco-friendly, they do not cause pollution and contributes to the cause of environment as these heaters do not use gas, coal or any other such kind of substances to heat water. It has its set of disadvantages too which are nothing when compared to its benefits. Now, it’s easily available due to the awareness of people. Secondly, a wide number of manufacturers have cropped up seeing it as a promising business and this helps in cutting down the prices. It just requires the primary costing of installing it with no further or hidden costs for its usage. It requires some minimal equipment like a tank for storage, thermal panels to absorb heat and pipelines attached to them. It is indeed beneficial for the future generations and is a blessing in disguise due to its advanced techniques and low...

To install a solar heater to heat up water is really fun. One can install it in their home or vacation house. It is an actual energy saver and one need not necessitate relying on electricity. It is not at all difficult to build and will automatically reduce the electricity bills. With the growing awareness, one can easily find manufacturers dealing with it. The type and specification of the water heater will depend on the area one lives geographically. Presently, there are more than 300,000 water heaters that are installed around the whole of the United States and many more are being installed every year. One can buy already built systems that are ready to go directly into their homes, or they can even build their own if they feel. One just requires a set of plan and proper execution by following the instructions. There are two types of solar heating systems for heating water: these are the working (active) and dormant (passive) systems. The active system consists of circulating pumps, which controls the system, whereas the passive system has not got any such mechanism. The active solar water heating system comprises of two types: with direct and indirect systems for circulation. The previous one is helpful in climates and weather where it freezes rarely while the other is effective in places inclined to freezing temperatures, like cold countries. But, in the long term, the passive water heating system is less expensive, lasts for a longer period of time and requires a low maintenance contrary to the active...

The Solar water heater systems are water heaters that work with the energy of the sun. They are constructed to be working with pumps or fans for gathering the heat, with no automated parts included in the system. Solar water heaters are around since the late 1800’s. From the early 1900, there has been a change and new ones are being used. For the past forty years, these renewable sources of energy have contributed a lot. They have solved many problems such as oxidation, rusting and the problem of shortage of hot water. Contrast can be drawn between the two kinds of working solar heaters: The active solar heaters are the heaters in which the heat collector protects it against cold conditions. These systems are called: Re-circulate, duct-down, duct-back, and heat exchange. The re-circulate system: The mechanism employs a pump, running electrically to canalize water through the container to avoid it from freezing. Some heat is employed to heat the moving water. The duct-down system This mechanism simply procures the water out of the container, which collects it, when the thermostat indicates the boiling point of water. But, if the electricity is low, then all the water is emptied down by the collector. The duct-back system This mechanism uses heat exchanging systems for the storage of drained water from the collecting device when it reaches the freezing point. Heat exchangers activate with a storage tank and help the water to advance to the actual water heater. The duct-back system has an electric running pump that works almost all the time. But, if it is not activated, the heat exchanger contains the hot water from the container and uses this water as the material for heating fluid to warm the water. The heat exchanger looses up to 10% of its heating efficiency. The high temperature exchanging system In this system, water does not come out from the collector when it comes near freezing. The heat exchanger, which is present in the system, takes the help of an oily fluid whose job is to prevent freezing and helps to keep the water warm. In many systems compressed air also does the same job what this oily fluid does. The solar water heater systems contain pumps and fans that help in heating up water and moving the water to different parts. So such systems need some sort of maintenance over a short period of...
